Sustainability grant obtained

The SRA have received notification that we have been successful in obtaining the Community Spaces Sustainability grant for the Nunnery board walk.

Sandy Norman, the driving force behind this project, had to remind them – for a while it seemed like they had forgotten us – but, fortunately, that wasn’t the case.

The grant amounts to £1750 and has been obtained specifically to cover leadership training, first aid training, willow weaving, reed and rush planting, a bat walk, a moth evening event, litter picking and publicity.

It will be for the Sopwell Nunnery Green Space management group to fill in the details and plan the training and public events.

Note that the money will not be given to the SRA but to SADC who are the leader of the Nunnery management group, and only when it is spent.
