CMS News Autumn 2014 edition

Latest CMS Newsletter

The Autumn 2014 edition of the Countryside Management Service newsletter is now available to read on-line or download - click here or on the CMS News logo.

This edition highlights some of the ways in which the CMS is contributing to Hertfordshire's Public Health Strategy, predominantly through our ever-expanding Hertfordshire Health Walks.  We have recently employed a dedicated Projects Officer to lend further support to this scheme, and are continuing to invest in attracting and training more volunteer health walk leaders.  Page 11 of the newsletter includes a summary of the hugely successful Hertfordshire Health Walks conference which took place in September.

Also key to health and wellbeing is high quality and accessible natural environment, something which our land management projects and volunteer activities continue to promote.  The articles contained within this edition give an overview of some of these fantastic schemes and are testament to the continued hard work and dedication of our volunteers and friends groups.

You will note that we have included a 'mapped' contents page for the first time, something we hope will encourage our readers to visit some of the sites we are working on.

We hope you enjoy reading about the work of the Countryside Management Service.
