As part of the 2009 Sopwell Project, the SRA researched the history of the local area using memories from residents and newspaper archives. The project was so successful it resulted in the publication of a book, Sopwell: a history and collection of memories in May 2012. The project was followed by More Memories of Sopwell in October 2012.
The large collection of social history is available online to the public on the Sopwell Memories website, managed by the brilliant Sandy Norman. The site includes five downloadable Sopwell History Walks for those wanting to tour the area.
